& the N

l.     a laugh so hard that it makes

Or.....

    her fingers love crisp packages
  old summer camp songs,
    plump blueberries and dogs.

she laughs so hard that it made
  her keys run and hide.
-the shopping list knows no rest.

She’s so careful of the world
  as it passes by;
it’s the best she ever had!

Twinkles

  sweet morning notes
polished by your finger tips
  while I word jumble

My Bunker Mate

  love that knows no rest
she keeps things and us so well
  Oh my dear Nanette

Headlines

  the wet wind finds me
searching for today's lost news
  later than usual

Lunch to go

Elixir

today's new light is watching
me as I inhale vapors grander
than they could ever hoped to taste

these dark grains remember fingers
plucking them off to holiday
full of gentle baths and sprawling in the sun

darkened and startled  from sleep by the
sharp burr of dawn, one last hot shower
as your spirit fogs my window

this was your last sunrise with
goodbye's upon my lips, aroma in my head
your ashes in the knock box
